Quarterback Frank Brown lit up opposing defenses in 2011. The spread offense at Bethel was designed to do that. Brown distributed the ball well, racking up 1991 passing yards and 20 TDs in 10 regular season games. His top two targets in the passing game finished in the top five regionally in receiving yards.

Brown’s top target, Rashawn Proctor, committed to Old Dominion last fall. Now the pair will have the opportunity to compete against each other in conference play since Brown has committed to the Tribe of William and Mary.

“I made my decision to go to William and Mary because I thought it was a good fit. I visited two weeks ago,” the prolific passer commented. “I related well with all the coaches. The visit went well. I like everything about William and Mary.”

Frank liked the academic opportunities at William and Mary, plus he wants to earn early playing time for the Tribe.  He’ll be a preferred walk-on as a freshman with hopes of earning a scholarship while he’s there.

“I want major in Computer Science or something in the Math field. I like the fact that I’ll get a chance to perform at a college level in football,” Brown said. He’ll have time to develop further and he’ll have a good chance of earning playing time sooner or later. “I don’t know how soon it will happen, but I am determined to get the starting spot at William and Mary.”
